Please be informed that the deadline for registration with the Municipal Urban Cleaning Authority (AMLURB), through the Waste Transport Control System (CTRERGG), for São Paulo companies will be until October 31, 2019.
All companies with CNPJ in the city of São Paulo regardless of their area of operation or size, must register. The obligation of registration also extends to companies that are located outside the city of São Paulo, and that
render services in the city in the processes of transportation, handling, recycling or destination of solid waste generated in the city.
In the registration process, companies can declare whether they are small or large generators of waste. According to Law 13,478/02, large waste generators will be those companies that generate at least 200 litres of
household waste per day or more than 50 kilograms of inert (rubble, land and building materials).
We emphasize that the deadline until October 31, 2019, is characterized as an informative and non-punitive period. However, after this stipulated period, the establishment that is inspected and, if identified as a large waste
generator, does not have a registration with AMLURB will be fined R$1,639.60 (one thousand six hundred thirty-nine reais and sixty cents).
